At Penny Jones Mortgages I am able to offer a comprehensive 1st charge mortgage contract from 65+ lenders across the market and I offer a referral service for 2nd charge regulated mortgage contracts.

Access to some Mortgage deals not available directly with lenders

If there are any issues I will present your circumstances in the best possible light and will endeavour to overcome any problems for you. I am also here, for purchases, to guide you through the entire home buying process, helping you with both your Estate Agents and Solicitors. I will do everything possible to get you into your new home in the timescale that you desire.

We are not a comparison site

Comparison sites can be extremely confusing and do not offer advice or take into account your individual goals and circumstances. Each lender has a different set of qualifying criteria and products may be displayed that you do not qualify for. This can result in a lot of wasted time and effort with lenders who may decline you. This can also lower your credit score and actually make it even harder to get a mortgage. It is important that you understand all the terms, features and facts about a mortgage before you apply for it. What may initially seem the best mortgage often isn’t once all the factors and potential hidden charges are considered.

Mortgage brokers have expert knowledge of the mortgage market and will be able to recommend deals that suit your personal situation. They should also have access to software that allows them to search mortgage deals much faster and more thoroughly than you could yourself.

A good broker will know which lenders are most likely to accept you and help you steer clear of applying for deals you’re unlikely to get (which can have a negative impact on future applications).

Also, if you take out a mortgage using a broker you have the right to complain if the mortgage turns out to be unsuitable – an option that isn’t available if you apply without taking advice.”
